If you haven't had a chance to come out to the monthly 5 Minutes of Fame Open Mic held every 2nd Thursday at Market Street Commons (formerly known as The Kraft Building) in downtown Mount Carroll, Illinois, you should mark your calendar next month (11/11/11 at 6pm) and come check it out. The 5 Minutes of Fame Open Mic is just one of the ways that the Main Street Art Guild, working in collaboration with Brick Street Coffee and Market Street Commons, is working to give an open venue to area artists, musicians, and writers.
